What is Alarm Monitoring?

When your alarm system has been activated due to an intrusion it sends this signal via your phone line (PSTN) to our controlroom for one of our operators to action as per your pre-written instructions. You may require us to notify you, or another after hours keyholder to attend, dispatch a patrol officer to inspect the site or both (patrol officer callout fee applys), these instructions are completely your choice.

The other part of alarm monitoring applies mostly to a commercial setting. This is the monitoring of armings and disarmings outside of your predefined trading times.

Lets say your site is disarmed no earlier than 7am and armed no later than 6pm. If we receive a disarm signal before 7am the operator will contact your site to verify it is an authorized staff member entering the site. If there is no answer the operator will revert back to your pre-written instructions on what to do next. If we fail to receive an arming signal by 6pm, the above process happens again, this is to make sure the alarm gets armed each night and nothing has happened to your staff.

The above is an outline to give you an understanding of what our standard service involves. For more information please contact us today.
